Simple Steak Marinade

Ingredients

  • Tri-tip small-medium
  • Sea salt and Pepper
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup Coconut aminos

Instructions

  • Trip the fat from the bottom side of the steak if it hasn't already been done.
  • Put the tri-tip in a large bowl or pot.
  • Add salt and pepper to both sides (be generous with the salt).
  • Mince the garlic and add it to the steak.
  • Add the coconut aminos.
  • Let the steak come to room temperature if you're cooking immediately (1 hour) or place it in the refrigerator overnight!
  • Grill, pan-fry, or bake to your liking.
  • Pictured: sear on a pan for 3 minutes per side (discard some of the garlic).
  • In a preheated oven (350F), bake for 12 minutes per side for medium rare.

Notes

These measurements were for a small tri-tip, if you have a larger one, double.
