Sweet Asian Chicken Wings

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Chicken Wings I used frozen organic wings from Trader Joe's
  • 1 TBSP Sesame Seeds For garnish.
  • 2 Small Green Onions Green portion only for garnish.

For Sauce

  • 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 2 tsp Minced Ginger
  • 5 tbsp Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Aminos
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes OPTIONAL.

Instructions

  • In a single layer, place chicken wings in the air fryer. I made 2 lbs. in two batches.
  • Set air fryer to 400 degrees, fry for 15 minutes turning once half way. Repeat with second batch.
  • Once they are fully cooked, add them to the reduced sauce. Mix right in the pan.
  • After coating with sauce, add them to the air fryer again for 2 minutes. Return to the pan to soak up the rest of the sauce.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

For Sauce

  • While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce.
  • In a small bowl, mix all of the ingredients for the sauce.
  • Heat a medium sized pan over medium heat and add sauce. Keep stirring until the sauce becomes thicker.
