Salad in a Jar (Autumn Salad)
Ingredients
- 2 cups of packed greens of choice
- 1/4 green apple sliced
- Handful of pecans 1/4 cup
- 3 chopped pitted dates
If kept in fresh:
- Crumbled goat cheese optional
- Chopped grilled chicken breast optional
- Balsamic vinaigrette
Dressing:
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 minced garlic clove optional
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a mason jar, place the greens at the very bottom.
- Place the remainder ingredients in the jar aside from the dressing.
- When you are ready to eat, mix in homemade dressing. Enjoy!
