Hello there!!!
It’s smoothie time! Summer is officially here and an ice cold piña colada has been on my mind! Unfortunately (but fortunately) I am pregnant and can’t have alcohol at the moment. I’m satisfying this craving with a high protein Piña Colada Smoothie!
In this recipe, rather than using my regular protein protein powder which can change the taste of the smoothie, I use collagen peptides. My favorite brand is Vital Proteins (click me!) which uses high quality grass-fed beef collagen protein.
This smoothie is great as a treat for anyone including kids or as a post-workout snack!

Piña Colada Protein Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut Milk
- 3 Cups Frozen Pinapple Chunks
- 4 Scoops Vital Protein Collagen Peptides Adds 20 grams of protein in 2 large smoothies. This is optional for higher protein. Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides are tasteless.
- 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 Cups Ice
- 2-4 Tbsp Shredded Coconut For garnish.
- (Optional) Fresh Pineapple For garnish.
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients except for the shredded coconut and fresh pineapple (used for garnish) into a high speed blender. Blend until smooth.
- Pour smoothie into glasss. This makes two larger smoothies or 4 small smoothies. Top with shredded coconut and a piece of fresh pineapple.
