Salad in a Jar (Autumn Salad)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of packed greens of choice
  • 1/4 green apple sliced
  • Handful of pecans 1/4 cup
  • 3 chopped pitted dates

If kept in fresh:

  • Crumbled goat cheese optional
  • Chopped grilled chicken breast optional
  • Balsamic vinaigrette

Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 minced garlic clove optional
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • In a mason jar, place the greens at the very bottom.
  • Place the remainder ingredients in the jar aside from the dressing.
  • When you are ready to eat, mix in homemade dressing. Enjoy!
