Asian Steak Marinade

Hey there!

This recipe will make your steak POP with flavor. It is always on my weekly menu and I typically pair it with broccoli. Yep, beef and broccoli! I hesitated posting this recipe since it’s very basic, but we are all at different stages of our culinary journey (ha!).

I have included various cooking methods bellow. Note, I used a very small steak (1lb.) since it was just for my husband and I. If you have a larger steak, double all of the ingredients!

Hope you enjoy the recipe!

Asian Steak Marinade

Author: Julie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Flank Steak I used a 1lb. piece, DOUBLE recipe for larger steak.
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Aminos Brands: Big Tree Farms, Coconut Secrets, or TJ's Brand.
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seed Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves Minced.
  • 2 tsp Minced Ginger I use the pre-minced from a jar.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Cracked Pepper

Instructions

  • Place steak in a baking dish and add all of the ingredients.
  • Cover and marinade for at least 2 hours refrigerated.
  • Once you are ready to cook steak, let it come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  • Choose your cooking method bellow. The times are based on a thin smaller steak, add more time for a more "well-done" steak.

Air-fryer

  • Cook in the air-fryer for 5 minutes on each side at 400 degrees for medium. Less for medium rare, more for well-done. Option, after air-fryer, heat a pan/skillet on high and sear steak for one minute on each side.
  • Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before cutting into strips.

Grill

  • Heat the your grill according to the type of grill you have. Grill for about 10 minutes flipping a few times.
  • Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before cutting into strips.

Stove-Top

  • Heat a pan or skillet on medium high heat.
  • Cook steak for about 4 minutes per side, longer for more a well-done steak.
  • Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before cutting into strips.
